I’m sure anyone who knows me has heard me shamelessly plug the Dramatists Guild of America (and for those you who haven’t, click the bloody link already), but now I have a new and, praise the deity of your choice, free resource for you.  In my lasp post I mentioned a newletter I receive called the Loop, founded by playwright Gary Garrison.  Lovely for us, it is now on the web.  Lovelier still, it has a playwriting social network attached.  For those interested, The Loop has articles, rants, bragging writes, events, news, et centera at www.thelooponline.net.  The social network has groups (in most cases set up for playwrights of a specific region, I have one started for Pacific Northwestern Playwrights), forums, chats, and we all secretly want moast and/or is all we really care about, submission opportunies.  They have contests, festivals, and theatres listed that aren’t even in the Dramatists Guild’s annual submission guide.  It can be found at thelooponline.ning.com.  Now, with that said, I must excuse myself and go strangle my neighbor for blaring his music again.  Seriously, a girl is trying to write over here . . .
